Im Rahmen einer sehr frühen Reparatur bei Ernst Leitz New York wurde offenbar die Deckkappe ausgetauscht und ein Selbstauslöser nachgerüstet. Leitz New York "Y" Reparatursiegel. Ansonsten vollständig originale MP, mit Doppelschwung-Aufzug mit kurzem Aufzugshebel, frühem Entfernungsmesser, Merkscheibe für die Filmempfindlichkeit in der Rückwand bis 1000 ASA. Gussnummer 110917. Gravur "P-196" auf der Unterseite des Verschlussrahmens. Leicavit MP mit 1/4" Stativgewinde.
Mit Summilux 1:1.4/50 mm Nr. 1789289. Dünner Kratzer auf der Frontlinse.

Leica MP with slight signs of wear and authentic patina. As part of a very early repair at Ernst Leitz New York, the topplate was apparently replaced and a self-timer retrofitted. Leitz New York "Y" repair seal. Otherwise completely original MP, with double stroke winding mechanism with short transport lever, early range finder, film speed dial in the rear door up to 1000 ASA. Casting number 110917. The shutter crate engraved "P-196" on the bottom. Leicavit MP with 1/4" tripod thread. With Summilux 50 mm f/1.4 Nr. 1789289. Thin scratch on the front element.
