Description

Rare "E. Holzman, Bklyn - Pat Oct. 9th, 1900' marked German Silver and hard rubber salmon reel. The reel measures 3 7/8" dia. and 1 1/2" wide. This reel sports two interesting patented designs by this maker, such as, the free spool clutch, which when sliding the front mounted switch, the handle moves back automatically. When the handle is moved forward the reel is engaged. The other patented feature is the screw off face plate. Other features are a reverse "S" handle and banded German Silver rims. An Excellent example in unpolished condition from the ingenious reelmaker.
