THOMAS SANDBY - MEZZOTINT - LANDSCAPEThis gorgeous mezzotint by highly respected and collected watercolor painter and engraver Thomas Sandby (1721-1798) is in very good condition, offered framed and measures 10" x 7" engraving size, 18" x 15" framed size. The mezzotint shows a typical Sandby rural scene. I can think of no engraver, apart perhaps for Boydell, who made such a wonderful job of trees as Sandby!
