The sculpture is a Yipwon figure, which is a figure that represents a spirit or solar ancestor and is used during ceremonies preceding war and trophy headhunting. This sculpture is in the form of acarved face at the top with carved hooks below it. This sculpture is mounted to a circular ebony tone metal base. The sculpture itself measures forty-one inches tall by two and three-quarters inches wide by four inches deep, and the basemeasures one-quarter of an inch tall by six inches in diameter.
