WITH engraving of Catesby’s Magnolia Grandiflora after Georg Ehret. C. 1742.
15 1/2” x 20” sheet.
One of the First Catalog’s of plants from America.
A copy of this broadside was likely pasted on the walls on Carl Linnaeus’ bedroom & was used to promote Catesby’s book, as well as, sell plants in Christopher Gray’s nursery. Very few exist because it was a broadside never meant to be saved.
