Description
Pello Irazu (Spanish, b. 1963). Steel and wood sculpture titled "Brother Tower," depicting a large abstract structure. With a custom shipping crate. Irazu is considered one of the key figures in the revival of Basque sculpture; playing with textures and surfaces - painting aluminum as wood or coating cardboard in resin - to create a sense of uncertainty for the viewer for whom the parts of the work remain deliberately unclear.
Provenance: Distinguished corporate collection, Minnesota.
Height: 24 in x width: 18 1/4 in x depth: 5 1/4 in. Weight (including custom-built wooden shipping crate): approximately 800 lbs.
