Thirteen hand-colored lithographs Lot of thirteen pieces of graphic work representing the cries and songs of street vendors advertising their wares in the city of London. Wheathey's compositions were exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1792-1795, achieving great success, and were quickly taken to printmaking by such authors as the brothers Luigi and Niccolo Schiavonetti, Giovanni Vendramini, and Thomas Gaugain. They present oxidation stains on the paper. Measurements: Paper: 44 x 34 cm; Footprint: 35 x 27 cm
