Description
An antique porcelain figurine A hunter with a game, dated from the second half of the 18th century. Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, St. Petersburg, probably the period of Empress Catherine II, 1764 to 1796. The figurine depicts a man wearing a cap with a trim and a long caftan. He is holding one hand up to his chest, and in the other hand he holds the captured birds. Behind his back is a wicker basket for loot. The figurine is made realistically, neatly hand painted. On the bottom there is a blue underglaze stamp depicting a monogram of Empress Catherine II, and a red ink number: 14 of 5.
