Description
A pair of fine Ukrainian Soviet propaganda porcelain figurines depicting a boy laying out the word STALIN from cubes and a girl laying out the word LENIN. The figurines are finely modeled and neatly hand painted. Designed by Svetlana Vladislavovna Golembovskaya (Bolzan), 1927 to 2016. Produced by the Gorodnitsa factory, circa 1953. The figurines are stamped to the bottom with a red overglaze makers mark. Gorodnitsky Porcelain Factory was one of the largest enterprises for the production of porcelain in Ukraine and throughout the USSR.
