Description
An early 19th-century Russian Rococo style table lamp with a gilt bronze stand decorated with raised flowers, acanthus leaves, Rococo shells, etc., and a delicate cream silk shade decorated with fringe. Later it was modified by adding a mechanical clockwork that allowed the upper part of the lamp to spin around. The mechanical key is hidden on the pedestal and for making it visible you need to lift it up. Not working. Russian Table Lamps, Home Decor, Antiques, And Collectibles. Provenance: Anna Feltsman Estate. Feltsman family: Oscar Feltsman 1921-2013 was a Russian Ukrainian-born composer of Lithuanian Jewish descent. He was the father of Vladimir Feltsman, born in 1952 a Russian-American classical pianist. Anna Feltsman was the first wife of Vladimir Feltsman.
