Mystery Artist (20th Century). A carved wood statue. A wildlife work in lacquered wood, produced in a primitive folk art style, modeled as an anatomical correct ram sheep. No apparent signature. From the Chicago estate of American gallerist and philanthropist Maria McCormick (1937-2021).
Dimensions: 22 X 10 X 26 in.
Condition: Good to fair condition, having normal to moderate surface wear, areas of lacquer loss, loss to one ear, restoration to one horn, and natural splits to the wood. Estate fresh to the market.
