Jewels and adornment have long been used for cultural and personal expression which has been copied and reinterpreted for generations. Known for its bounty of striking and opulent design, the Mughal empire stretched form the mid-16th to mid-19th century. India's artisans premiered at the forefront of this period perfecting the Mughal style using rose-cut diamonds, an array of faceted and carved colorful gemstones and precious high karat gold which was strongly influenced by global trading at the time. This collection features modern interpretations of this captivating period of jewelry design.
