Bardone studied at the Ecole National Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris where he trained under Brianchon, Cavailles and Desnoyer. Bardone was awarded the prestigious Prix Félix Fénéon in 1952, which gave him an introduction into the Paris art market. In 1953 he was selected to the all-important group exhibitions "celebrities and revelations of contemporarypainting" at Musée Galliera in Paris.
