AVION MACHINE & TOOL "AVION MERCURY" 1946 MODEL AIRPLANE ENGINE WITH PROPELLER, magnesium castings, cylinder case bypass embossed "AVION M USA", cylinder with ten fins and a finned head, exhaust on the right side, venturi fitted with throttle, back of crankshaft case impressed with SN "19420", polished aluminum elongated-form fuel tank, fitted with a Champion spark plug, includes a wooden laminated propeller with Avion decals on each side. Crankshaft turns freely and is untested for functionality. Fitted in probably original wooden box with makers markings on two sides including the sliding cover, additional wooden plate with paper attached containing instructions. 1946. Engine 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" overall, propellers 20" long.
