Very Fine 19th C. Persian Qajar Warrior's Armor Set of Helmet, Shield & Arm-guard ~ All with Gold Inlays & Extensive Fine Etched Decorations. A matching set of Qajar period armor, circa 1820-1880. The en suite decorated set consists of a Khulah Khud helmet, Dhal shield and Bazu Band arm guard. This form of set of armor was found throughout Qajar, Zand, and Safavid period Persia and varies in decoration primarily. This set is classically decorated with very fine etched thuluth script decoration, and inlaid with noble metal highlights. The thuluth script decoration consists of Shiite inscriptions and pious invocations. Condition is very fine with no losses and fully matching.
