Both pieces generally good vintage condition with moderate wear commensurate with age and use. The table sturdy with joinery intact; moderate to heavy wear and small losses to edges of legs and lower support elements; the base with older, darker stain with moderate overall craquelure; the tabletop composed of oak and pine, and with overall lighter stain than base; tabletop having slightly recessed circular area in center, likely intended to contain a retention medallion for a leather or similar tabletop cover (not present) over the pine substrate. The chair with a sturdy base and seat, back loose and with separations to either side of the lower back; heavier finish and edge wear, with scuffs, scratches, and darkening of wood indicating past exposure to moisture; small loss to rear right foot; overall rustic in appearance, in accordance with the intent of the creator.
