Description
A Chinese Kraak blue and white plate with deer, dating from the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). A central bottom design of two deer frolicking in the woods is surrounded by a frame, the cheer area is decorated with eight medallions of flower and insect design, separated by bamboo in blue. The outside echoes the inner design of medallions only with much less density of design.
