Pennsylvania, March 25, 1775, Four Shillings, Second "Cape Henlopen Lighthouse" Issue, Superb Crisp Uncirculated.
Fr. PA-171. A fully signed and issued early Revolutionary War date note, having excellent eye appeal with sharp corners and margins. Only 3,000 notes were printed. This fresh note is on the Second Cape Henlopen Lighthouse vignette issue. A large woodblock engraved print of the Lighthouse is printed on the central reverse. It is perfectly centered within four large even margins. This premium quality note still retains significant traces of its original press text embossing within the paper, attesting to its originality. Provenance Ex: Stack's Ford/Boyd Collection Sale Part XV, October 2006, lot 8583 (with lot tag).
