This complex, visually impressive historic American Print helped make John Trumbull famous and, even decades later, it remained popular with the American public, as evidenced by its reprinting here. This version measures 6" x 7.25" by sight and is matted to an overall size of 14" x 17." This print and mat are in excellent condition, ready for framing and display. In this depiction of the Battle of Bunker Hill, Trumbull shows General Joseph Warren dying among a throng of American and British soldiers while Colonel John Chester attempts to save him. It is one of the most iconic images from the American Revolution.
