June 14, 1870-Dated, Autograph Letter Signed, "J.P. Branch" upon Office of Branch Sons & Co., Bankers and Cotton Merchants stationery, to Civil War Union General Adelbert Ames, as Acting U.S. Senator, at Augusta, Georgia, Choice Extremely Fine.
This Letter measures 10" x 7.5" being addressed to the ex-Civil War Union General Adelbert Ames, now an Acting U.S. Senator. He is requesting help in obtaining government finances, in part:
"I see that Congress is about to give the South more banking capital - I hope you will not think me trespassing on you too much to advise me how to act, so as to secure it." More excellent content.
