May 22, 1927-Dated, Newspaper, "The Seattle Daily Times," on May 21, 1927 Charles A. Lindbergh landed his Spirit of St. Louis near Paris, Boldly Headlined "LINDBERGH IN PARIS!", Very Fine.
On May 21, 1927, the aviator Charles A. Lindbergh landed his Spirit of St. Louis near Paris, completing the first solo airplane flight across the Atlantic Ocean. Lindbergh was just 25 years old when he completed the trip. Front page of "The Seattle Daily Times" Newspaper for the arrival of Lindbergh in Paris. Measures about 12.25" x 19" (by sight), matted and framed to 19.25" x 25.25". Large photograph of Lindbergh in center of page. Some of the column headlines read: "Flyer Rode Out Night Storms / Fought 1,000 Miles Of Squalls" and " 'Lucky' American Lands In France In 33 1-2 Hours" plus, " 'Doctor? What For?' Queries Air Conqueror". This historic newspaper has even age and displays well.
In another of many articles headed, "AIRPLANE IS GIVEN MOST CREDIT FOR TRIP BY LINDBERGH," the pilot praised his famous "Spirit of St. Louis" single-engine aircraft for getting him threw. (The original plane is now in the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum in Washington). Also, please see the large bust photo of Capt. Lindbergh smack on the front page! Inside there is an incredible radio photograph sent when "Lucky Lindy" landed at Le Bourget in Paris.
