This rare Colonial coin is glossy rich smooth medium brown with great color and nice, hard glossy surfaces and better-than-expected details. A PCGS MS-63 example of this type was offered at auction in 2013, when Stack's/Bowers sold one in their ANA sale for $22,325. An excellent coin for the purist collector who wants a high-quality example at a fraction of the $78,000 paid for a PCGS MS66BN in HA's 6/2019 sale.
