ENGLISH SMEAR GLAZE STONEWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a matching teapot and covered sugar featuring relief images of religious figures, possibly popes, with molded mask handles, and a pitcher having relief floral motif, impressed "DUDSON" to underside. Together with a jug/pitcher featuring relief flower and acanthus designs on lavender ground, grapevine border decoration, and a molded mask spout. Four pieces total. Dudson, Hanley, England; and others. Second half 19th century. 9 7/8" HOA.

Teapot and lavender jug undamaged; sugar having 2 1/2" L rim hairline and cover finial reattached; pitcher having hairline crack to rim.
