Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A set of 2 pendants of delicate and attractive forms (neck chain not included). The first pendant features a trio of 91.47% to 93.55% gold spheres, each laden with petite granules, that are separated by a pair of amber-hued glass spacer beads. The second pendant is a hollow tube shaped from a sheet of 88.5% to 89.1% gold with a suspension loop attached to the top; the interior perhaps held a semi-precious stone or another decorative element at one time. Size (tubular pendant): 0.33" W x 1.16" H (0.8 cm x 2.9 cm); gold quality: 88.5% to 89.1% (equivalent to 21K+); weight: 2.1 grams; (pendant w/ spheres): 0.23" W x 1.09" H (0.6 cm x 2.8 cm); gold quality: 91.47% to 93.55% (equivalent to 21K+ to 22K+); weight: 2.5 grams; (necklace chain): 23.7" L (60.2 cm)

Condition
Wearable as shown and strung in modern times. Both gold pendants are ancient; necklace chain is modern. Softening to some granules on pendant with spheres, and small indentations and tears to tubular pendant. Tubular pendant is missing decorative element once held within. Nice patina to both pendants.
