A Merryweather pattern brass fireman's helmet, A Merryweather pattern brass fireman's helmet, late 19th century, with crossed hatchet design to the front of the badge, brass chin straps, and brass rosette retainers, 26cm high together with a fireman's axe, with a hatched handle stamped '331292' and the blade faintly stamped, 38.5cm and a three-hook rack, labelled 'Merryweather & Sons Fire Engine Works, London', 99cm long (3) Condition Report: Helmet - dented and worn. The strap and interior leather lining are still attached. Axe - wear throughout. Rack - knocks and chips to the mount Red hooks worn and screws with rust.
