Property from the Estate of Marily Langill Kroening, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Marily W. Kroening was a nationally recognized appraiser and expert of fine arts with a keen eye and passion for silver. She served on the Milwaukee Art Museum Board and was a president of the museum's 'Collectors Corner'. Her work in the appraisal and fine arts community was evidenced by her membership and presidency of the Wisconsin chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. She served as an adviser to museums, theaters and private collectors. She authored museum catalogues on silver exhibitions for the Milwaukee Art Museum. Her knowledge was called upon as an expert witness in numerous court cases, she also assisted the US customs service in identification cases. Marily was also a member of the University Club, the Women's Club of Wisconsin and the Toastmasters.
