A VERY NICE PIECE OF TRUE VINTAGE JEWELRY:
Vintage Art Deco Carnelian Oval Pendant, 10kt G.F. and stainless steel - it is 1.75" tall and 1.25" wide. It could be a piece that was created but it is possible it is original because stainless steel came to be in 1913 - the base is an offset, angled stainless steel frame that is about 1/4" tall where the art deco gold-tone piece is mounted on top and secured on the frame and bars that cut across the back of the stainless steel piece. The art deco piece has a base rounded oval and then a pointed lawyer that is flat and wide and points up and down with a decorative frame and then a top layer of stamped leaf accents and a center carnelian tube-like bead. It is in very good condition with typical wear on the surface - nothing bad - just not perfectly shiny metal but still very good. The age of this is guesstimated at the 1910-1920's.
