Description
This is a rare, extremely difficult to find set of Denver and Rio Grande Railroad Playing cards from 1910. This is their “Scenic Line of the World” set. It comes with the original box, which is rough, but the cards are in excellent shape for being 112 years old!. What makes these sets desirable is that each playing card, in each number and each suit, has a different photo of scenes along the DandRG line. Thus, 52 different scenes! The joker states that this deck was made for the Van Noy Railway News and Hotel Company of Denver, Co by Tom Jones, a publisher of Scenic Souvenirs, from Cincinnati, OH. These cards were sold at depots or on trains of the DandRG line.
