WWII, Leonard Cheshire signed 25th Anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II FDC. This Benham cover has two post marks on the front dating 31st May 1978 plus a stamp to note it was flown in phantom aircraft from Royal Air Force Wattisham in the fly-past Buckingham Palace to mark Her Majestys Birthday and the 25th anniversary of her coronation. This cover comes with Battle of Britain information insert. Cheshire has signed the front of the cover in black ink. On the reverse is another postmark: Royal Air Force 3rd June 1978 Wattisham. Geoffrey Leonard Cheshire, Baron Cheshire, VC, OM, DSO and Two Bars, DFC (7 September 1917 - 31 July 1992) was a highly decorated Royal Air Force (RAF) pilot and group captain during the Second World War,.
