SERIAL NUMBER BM2478 BARREL 4 1/2" CALIBER 7.62X25 MANUFACTURED 1949. Russian manufactured TT33 Tokerav pistol with US registration paperwork from the Yongsan District South Korea. The identified Tokerav was presented to Lt, Col. Charles G. Thebaud by the South Korean Government for his involvement in the interrogation of the survivor of the 31 man North Korean assassination squad sent to murder South Korean President Park. The team of assassins were intercepted and all but one killed January 31st 1968. Pistol is accompanied by a brief history of the pistol as well as supporting news paper article and brief history by noted firearms expert Daniel Cullity. Pistol is all numbers matching including the magazine. Ribbed black plastic grips with 5 pointed star marked CCCP. Pistol comes in Russian leather holster with cleaning rod. Included with the pistol rig is a North Korean fighting knife also recovered during the murder attempt and is listed in the presentation to Col, Thebaud. CONDITION. The pistol is very good with exterior metal having turned to a mixture of fading blue and patina. The bore is strong with darkness in grooves. The grips are very good and the action operates properly. The holster is very good with solid stitching and supple leather,. The Fighting knife is very good with bright blade and very fine scabbard and frog. A very unique and well documented historical pistol. C&R
