Description
AMERICAN STERLING SILVER BOXES, LOT OF TWO, comprising a cigar/cigarette box by Smith & Smith of Attleboro, MA featuring an applied gold-toned star-type element to top with a prong setting holding a carved stone cameo and interior base with wood lining, and a card box by J.F. Fradley & Co. of New York City, NY with engraved linear pattern to front side and "E.M.D." initials to top. Each with "STERLING" and maker's marks. Total weight including non-sterling components: 11.175 ozt. First half 20th century. Cigarette box 4" x 3 1/4" OA, 2" HOA.

Good to very good overall condition with some wear and surface scratches, other imperfections including dents and nicks; cigarette box with a crack/hairline to cameo, possibly as made/naturally occurring; card box possibly missing a ribbon or attachment.
