Jean Jules Salmson (French, 1823-1902). A large dore bronze statue. A figural portrait work depicting Sir Anthony van Dyck (1599-1641), the Anglo Flemish Baroque artist modeled wearing plumed hat, cloak, dress sword, and flounced breeches, and holding a book. Standing on a circular landscape form base. Impressed signature to rear base SALMSON.
Dimensions: 22 X 9 X 7.5 in.
Condition: Good overall condition, having normal age related surface wear, patina, and some gilt loss in places. Estate fresh to the market.
