Description
Three pieces of ethnographic beaded leather work, comprising a pair of late 19th or early 20th century beaded moccasins, likely Inunaina (Arapaho) in origin, having red trade cloth binding at the ankles, trailing fringe at the back, and decorated with geometric designs in light blue, orange, and pink glass beads, with evidence of use, together with a petite, beaded leather, Masai bracelet, all displayed in a shadow box with an acrylic lid. Provenance: From the Private Collection of Vernon Harris, Cumming, Georgia. Moccasins approx. h. 3", l. 10", w. 3"; bracelet dia. 2.24", d..50".
