Eight all wool bathing suits. The highlight of this group is a solid color one piece bathing suit known as "swimming tights". Tag read "Annette Kellerman Swimming Tights Asbury Mills Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." Annette was a famous Australian swimmer, actress, writer and teacher. She is accredited with being one of the first ladies to wear a one piece bathing suit instead of the then accepted pantaloons. She was the inventor of synchronized swimming and a pioneer of women's swimwear. Suit is in ok condition with many repairs mostly to the crotch area. Others in the group; One has NRA label from 1933-1935 "National Recovery Act - FDR". One has Wheaton park district label. Some are crab style. Two are children's sizes. One states guaranteed 100% all wool. One or two are men's swim suits. All have small holes or have been repaired. Otherwise fabric is strong - see photos.
