SIGNED BY CHARLES SCHULZ & 22 ASTRONAUTS.
Stuffed Snoopy doll, approximately 255 mm tall.
Provenance: Beverly Joan Gresham, Customer Relations at North American Rockwell/Rockwell International, Space Systems Division, 1954-1999.
SIGNED by: CHARLES SCHULZ, with a drawing of Snoopy; ALAN BEAN; WALT CUNNINGHAM; WALLY SCHIRRA; AL WORDEN; JOE ALLEN; JACK SWIGERT; TOM STAFFORD; GENE CERNAN; DONN EISELE; JOE ENGLE; KEN MATTINGLY; AL SHEPARD; JAMES A. MCDIVITT; VANCE BRAND; JOE KERWIN; DAVE SCOTT; GORDON COOPER; DICK GORDON; RON EVANS; BILL POGUE; CHARLES CONRAD JR.; MICHAEL COLLINS.
The Mission call signs for the Apollo 10 spacecraft were borrowed from the names of Peanuts characters. Charlie Brown was used to name the Command and Service Module and Snoopy to name the Lunar Module. Charles Schulz, the Peanuts creator, drew the mission-related artwork for NASA. Apollo 10 would be the 'dress rehearsal' for the first Moon landing, which would occur just 2 months later with Apollo 11. Lunar Module Pilot Gene Cernan and Commander Tom Stafford both sign the present piece.
