8vo. Original gilt-lettered blue cloth (some mottling to front cover); dust jacket (spine panel toned, minor wear and toning to flap folds and edges); slipcase. Provenance: Dr. Morris W. Croll (1872-1947), author, Professor of English at Princeton University (presentation inscription). Â FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY HOOVER on the front free endpaper: "To Morris W. Croll / With the kind Regards of / Herbert Hoover." More commonly found in publisher's red cloth.
