Antique Sterling Silver Coin/Medallion with Working Complass. Chinese Hallmarks. This is a heavy coin-like 1.75" blossom shaped medallion/medal that has an embedded 1/2 working compass with Chinese directions points and hallmarks on the back of the coin. The coin tests as silver - could be .999 but .925 at a miniumum. It is appx. 4mm thick with a weight of appx. 68.02 gr. It has leaves floating around slightly over half of the coin with raised beaded accents and a crexcent moon to the side of the compass. There is a mark at the center of the beaded dots that looks like something was there as well as on the back that possibly a bail but do not know. The marks look like Chinese. It has been tested and does have oxidation that could be polished if desired, Unfortunately, I found one when I first got this but did not save the information. It is antique and silver and do not remember the year. Good condition. (W92422.4X5 SS8591 J LD 10/3/22).
