Space photography pioneer Walter Schirra and the Hasselblad space 500 C camera, first used on his Sigma 7 mission (two photos), NASA [Mercury Atlas 8], 1962 - 1965

10 h × 8 w in (25 × 20 cm)
Lot is comprised of a nice portrait of Walter Schirra being helped into pressure suit by suit technician Al Rochford during Mercury Atlas 8 preparations and a photograph of the Hasselblad 500C camera carried into space by the crew of Gemini IV.
Numbered to upper margin of one photo 'NASA S-62-4668' with NASA caption. Numbered to verso of additional photo '65-H-871' with RCA Quality Control stamp and NASA KSC caption.
