Japanese Masayoshi Bronze and Gold Inlaid Vase, Late 19th C. Base with Masayoshi three character mark. Heavy bronze, baluster form, with flanking shi-shi lion mask and ring handles at shoulders, the body very finely cast overall, a band of medallions of zodiac characters to the waist, some animals with inset gold eyes. Provenance: Ex collection of Dr. Horacio Fabrega, Pittsburgh, PA; Saito, Inc., Chicago, IL; Private Collection, Pittsburgh. Size: 12.5'' x 7.5'' x 6'' (32 x 19 x 15 cm).
