Description
18th-19th century A.D. A copper-alloy bowl of truncated conical form, the base, body and neck decorated with geometric rosettes, cartouches and interlace motifs with dense fill of flowering vines between, medial quatrefoils framing calligraphic script, a regardant deer leaping between each, seated figures occupying the cartouches on the base. 734 grams, 22.5 cm wide (8 7/8 in.). Acquired in the 1980s-1990s. Previously with Mansour Gallery, London W1. Property of a North West London gentleman.
