A Colima pumpkin shaped vessel with a short cylindrical neck, flattened outward-curving rim, tripod zoomorphic feet molded on the form of armadillo heads with long snouts, incised lozenge-shaped eyes, lug ears, and with the body presenting a vertical linear design. Burnished ceramic. 200 BCE to 200 CE. Mexico. 10 1/4" x 10 1/2".Condition: Good, with a repaired break on one foot.Provenance: From the collection of Harold E. Rayburn. Davenport, Iowa.
