Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Java, Neolithic period, ca. 4500 to 500 BCE. A collection of 6 chert stone blades, each pecked and polished with a rectangular cross section with a broad cutting edge. Each has ancient chips and nicks from over the ages and perhaps use, but the original surfaces are highly polished and retouched in modern times. Size: 2.5" L x 1.5" W (6.4 cm x 3.8 cm)
