"Biography: Hard-paste porcelain factory established in 1776 by Andr?-Marie Leboeuf (c.1755-1810). Registered mark an 'A' in blue changed to an 'A' crowned in red in 1778 when the protection of Marie-Antoinette was given to the factory. In 1797 Leboeuf sold the factory including porcelain to Charles Barth?lemy Guy and Marie-Antoine Houzel and it probably continued in production until 1806." Source: https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/term/BIOG7704211/15 Edit:This piece is in overall surprisingly excellent condition. Aside from any manufacturers irregularities that are naturally occurring in early handmade porcelain, there are only some areas of faint gold loss. Otherwise, no apparent hairlines, chips, cracks, scratches, crazing, craquelure, losses, damages, or repairs. Minor shelf wear to base/rim.Exciting piece.. would have considered it excellent condition even if it were a 20th Century piece, let alone being over 200 years old.
