Note
Solomon Dickinson was born at Crosiadore, Trappe, Talbot County, Maryland to Judge Samuel Dickinson (1741-1805) and Elizabeth Sharpe (1750-1803). He was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, 1805-1806, 1815, 1830-31; a Judge of Orphan's Court in 1807-1812, 1828-1831, 1835-1838; a Major in the 12th Maryland Brigade during the War of 1812; a Brigadier General in the Maryland Militia; and a Maryland State Senator in 1836. Dickinson married Maria Stevens in 1802.
