Description
The twined weave with imbrication in three colors is of the form that has traditionally served as a hat or headdress for the Athabascan speaking Hupa peoples of Northwest California. In this case, the smaller size and pattern of weave suggest this excellent example was woven for use as a holding basket.
Measures 3 x 4.25 x 4.25 inches.
