Description
Woodcut. 4" x 6". Framed. Edna Martin was a talented woodcut artist who trained at RISD under the tutelage of Eliza Gardiner (1871 – 1955). This is a particularly charming image from a 1931 trip to Europe where Martin captured a gregarious group of men coming home from the pub – no worst for wear. Martin taught at Lincoln School for her entire art teaching career while maintaining the family farm in Seekonk, MA.
