A NAPOLEON III EBONIZED WOOD, ABALONE AND MARBLE CARTEL CLOCK, GAILLEFONTAINE, FRANCE, MID/LATE 19TH CENTURY, in the Parisian taste, the white marble dial with cobalt blue enameled minute marks enclosing twelve gilt metal cartouches framing white enameled copper plaques with blue Roman numerals, centering gothic style pierced trefoil hands over twin key escapements, within "QUEVALLIER," and "Gaillefontaine," bordered by a face surround decorated in Japonesque style abalone intarsia inlaid pieces in a beribboned draping tendrils form, set within a stepped wavy channeled ebonized wood frame enclosing a conforming glass cover, includes weighted pendulum stamped no. 554, and key stamped no. 13.
