Description
A very nice example of German WWII 7×50 Kriegsmarine Binoculars which are marked "7x50" / 58563 / blc" on the right barrel next to the eyepiece. The code "blc" is for Carl Zeiss Jena. Originally black, the binoculars were painted ordnance tan during the period, most likely by the serviceman they were issued to. Each barrel features a thick rubber cup which protects the objective when the binoculars are set down. The eyepieces do not have any rubber eyecups but the binoculars do retain their leather neck strap. CONDITION: The binoculars retain most of their ordnance tan paint with scattered chips, dings, and scratches. Rubber remains supple, as does the strap. The optics remain clear with scattered scratches noticed on the glass. Overall good. JLD
