19th Century Anglo-Indian Carved Ebony Sofa. Intricately carved and pierced with dense floral and foliate motifs, the serpentine-shaped back consists of a center lobe with a higher lobe to each side, a medallion of the bird at the center of each lobe surrounded by continuous floral scrolls, all above a shaped cushion seat on cabriole legs and claw feet, the black ebony wood is possibly Ceylonese.
