Imperial German Model 1889 Trooper's Cavalry Sword of the 18th (Saxon) Hussars Regiment. Slightly curved blade with fuller. Triple acid etching depicting patriotic and floral design with nameplate inscribed "Sugo Schroler, 2. Es", and "Kgl. Sachs. Hus. Rgt. Konig. Albert. No. 18" on the reverse. No visible maker marks. Leather buffer pad present. Silver-nickel plated hilt, Saxon cypher inset to folding guard. Ribbed composite grip. No scabbard. Blade Length: 32 7/8" | Total Length: 38 1/2"
